Halloween Decorated Gourd: "Fall's Phantom Face." $30. Bring (1) a clean, uncut, unsanded gourd large enough for a 5" x 6" picture (can be purchased on-site), (2) a fine-line black permanent marker, and (3) watercolor pencils.

Gourd Pins or Necklace. $20 covers all supplies. Spirit Bear necklace or pin is a beginner project designed to introduce several common gourd decorating techniques; sanding, leather dying, inlay/carving/gold leafing, designing and finishing. Wild & Crazy Woman and Kookie Bird pins are beginner projects to introduce sanding, decoupage, painting, adding adornments, and final finishing. If you have small unwanted jewelry items, bring them along.

Ocean Drum, Part 1. $40 class fee, plus $45 for supplies, including a 12-14 inch gourd (these fees also cover Part 2 of the workshop). We will sand drum edges; stretch, glue, and staple the drum head; and leave to dry overnight.

Ocean Drum, Part 2. Fees covered by Part 1. We will trim the drum head; apply hanging rings, decorative webbing, and upholstery tacks; make a hanger; and test the drum. Finish decorating at home if you run out of time.
